A Minka Lesk Audiobook

Cadia has fallen. Last to escape the hell that was the Thirteenth Black Crusade's destruction of their home world, the Cadian 101st are bloodied, but unbroken as they fight to prove they deserve the legacy that was left to them.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Captain Minka Lesk returns and is tested as never before. As she leads her regiment in the Gallows Cluster, she must deal with a threat she's never seen – a jungle that wants to eat her troops alive!

THE STORY

When a new threat surges through the Gallows Cluster, jeopardising the stability of the entire warfront, the 101st are thrown into the breach. As loyal fortresses fall on the world of Alia, Minka Lesk’s company leads the mad gambit that is the last hope of turning the tide. But when the jungle itself is as deadly as any enemy, can Minka keep her troopers fighting as her regiment fractures around her?

The book did not live up to expectations of the last 2 novels. Performance was well done. Book was not.

Didn’t love up to expectations

They killed off my favorite character the lord general Benedict and I don’t feel it was a great or deserved death but I guess that is also warhammer

Bit of a spoiler

Adored Lesk and the rest of 7th Company, just wish they featured more in the initial half of the book. (for a book labeled as a Minka Lesk Novel, she feels almost like a rare pov chaeacter).

Minka Lesk is outstanding

The story is grounded, not like some space marine bolter fantasy, and personable. The first half has lots of great character work, followed by thrilling action. A warhammer title at it's best.

Great Character work followed by great action.

Honestly the book wasn't bad but it started veeerrryyy slow picked up fast with the 1st company fight slowed down again and when we got to the ending it sounded like the 7th company was finally going to meet their end and it really felt like it but then it kinda just turned into "and then they were all fine" with a twist that didn't really hit has hard it I feel like it was supposed to, not a bad book but not as good as the others imo the VA did a good job it felt and sounded just as good as the other books tho

Slow start that picked up in the last 2 hours with a rushed ending
