Love these Characters!

Starts out a little slow, but these characters are very interesting and fun to follow.

Where is the grovel?

I think this story had potential. The flipping timeline back and forth over and over, plus jumps ahead in the main storyline was confusing. Also the MMC was back and forth on his feelings and treatment of the FMC. And there was little to no grovel.

I liked the female character, but I think I would have been more invested if i had her story in a more chronological order. The MMC gave little insight to his weak character and poor treatment of the FMC. I might have liked him better if his actions matched his words.

Spoilers ahead.

The FMC and MMC met when both were children. They grew up rough in a foster home and became friends. The older MMC left suddenly high school and never looked back. They meet up again several years later. The MMC leaves the FMC suddenly again, after having sex with the FMC on her 18th birthday. Fast forward several more years and they meet up again. The MMC suddenly tells the FMC to leave. The FMC is kidnapped by human traffickers. The MMC rescues her, sort of. She forgives him immediately for his previous treatment of her. They are in love -the end.

What?!? I don’t understand why she loved him and kept going back to him.

Narration was okay.
