Alcoholic Private Investigator, Drew Schweitzer, is hired to aid the police in a Missing Persons case by the parents of a terminally ill little girl, Abby Deirdre, who disappeared from the hospital a month earlier. Unsure if the child is still alive, the Pi finds himself in a race against time to find her before her condition worsens or at least find the people who took her. With every new discovery, it seems that Abby's disappearance may be linked to something worse. Something sinister. Something evil. Something iniquitous.

I whipped right through this book. At first I thought it was going to be the same tired xcop who drinks and tries to save the girl...but I was wrong. This book has a great twist! The performance was well done and made me feel like I was in the xcops head. I really enjoyed this book. I was given a free copy of this book and have left this voluntary and unbiased review.

A good crime novel!

This was the first book by this author I’ve listened to and really enjoyed it. I loved the characters of Drew and Frank. This story is about ex-cop turned PI who was hired to find a kidnapped child (Abby) then many twists and turns with sad ending. Recommend to anyone who enjoys good thriller with hint of paranormal. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU!!

Good Suspenseful Thriller

Where does Iniquitous rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is up in my list of good reads! I've read thousands of books it has to be in the top 50.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was PI Drew. I loved his story, and although he was a run down alcoholic ex-cop, the telling of his journey to who he is currently is a story in itself! He suffered great loss and I feel it made him more personable despite his problems with the drink and suicidal ideation.

Which character – as performed by Diane Lehman – was your favorite?

Again, Drew was my favorite. Although the reader was female, she put through the gruff and blatant emotion of the grizzled PI

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

While it did not make me laugh or cry, I was greatly saddened by the story of Drew where he lost his wife and young child to postpartum depression. Additionally, I had a strong reaction to the children being taken who had terminal illnesses.

Any additional comments?

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I read it in its entirety in one sitting!

Unexpected great read!!

I'm not sure this book was titled correctly I think devil in the flesh is more accurate. I honestly had no clue where this story was going but the road less traveled was not expected. The PI did what the police couldn't do. Solve a mystery but Abby is still alive and children are still being kid napped. I love that the author left it open for a second book.
I received this free for an honest review from the author or narrator.

What made the experience of listening to Iniquitous the most enjoyable?

The fact that it was suspenseful, and had some pretty scary parts.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Drew was my favorite character because I felt so sorry for him for losing his wife and daughter in such a violent way, and he was suffering every day.

What three words best describe Diane Lehman’s performance?

Average, mediocre, lukewarm

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Drew actually pulled a gun on his former partner.
