In the seventh installment of this apocalyptic adventure, a vampire must battle merciless scions to achieve honor as he descends farther into the abyss.

Riven Thane has survived nearly the first half of his journey into the Abyssal Descent, but questions are starting to arise. It seems the Blood God isn't as transparent as he pretends to be. Whispers of lost fragments of the Blood subpillar have surfaced, crucial knowledge that could elevate Riven above the rest of his generation—or brand him a heretic and see him torn apart by the clergy. But he's not alone in walking this sinful path. Elder Thune and his agents are plotting in the dark, and every move Riven makes draws the attention of rivals who're just as desperate to ascend in power.

Meanwhile, the abyss itself is shifting. Prison gates sealed for eons are opening as the Angel of Wrath makes herself known. With the other sins and commandments to follow, there's no telling what unholy creatures are ready to be unleashed. And Riven's sister, Allie, has returned to Panu to lead the Necropolis, leaving Riven to face his new and somewhat foreign responsibilities alone. Each floor of the descent tests him further, demanding equal parts diplomacy, bloodshed, and cunning to survive.

Now, Riven must gather his strength and wits to fulfill his original mission—rescuing Lillith from the void and breaking through to the E-grade tier—or risk being consumed as nothing more than fuel for another scion's rise . . .

The seventh volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 900,000 views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

Story was great I only wish I didn't have to wait for the next installment to come out. Can't wait to see what happens next and what he chooses to do

I’ve fallen in love with this series. It’s like a darker version of primal hunter.

Definitely recommend

This was amazing. I can't wait to see Riven in the E grade. Gluttony for the win! The minions were just as true to themselves in this book as they have been all along. A new character, too? Are we going to get more about the conflict outside of Elysium? maybe a collaborative cross over? Maybe Jason Asano? Or Randidly Ghosthound? Or perhaps someone knew and upcoming? IDC what... I'm hooked.

8 hours of terror

I’m just not understanding why this guy would think that literal DEMONS would think he was a monster for being a vampire. After knowing that they know what and who Gluttony is. It’s such a sappy Roman’s sometimes and it pulls me out of the actual story. Idk could he just me.

Otherwise I really enjoy getting to know the characters and the world building. I just wish Riven would be an adult and these literal demons would stop acting like sappy damsels one moment then murderous demons the next.

It Just Feels Immature at times
