Books 1, 2, and 3 in the John Decker Supernatural Thriller series.

What Vengeance Comes—An impossible killer stalks the Bayou…

NYPD detective John Decker thinks his family’s dark past is behind him when he’s offered the job as town sheriff in his sleepy southern hometown. Happy for a change in scenery, and a quieter way of life, he accepts the position.

But when a pair of mutilated bodies are found in the woods just days before a massive storm is due to make landfall, the similarities dredge up the horrific memories of his mother’s unsolved murder almost thirty years ago. A murder that drove his father to madness and an early grave, and John to abandon his high school sweetheart and escape to New York.

The Medical Examiner insists that the killer cannot be human…but that’s ridiculous. There are no large predators in the area. The men were clearly targeted by someone…or something.

As the skies darken and the weather worsens, more bodies pile up.

But what is the connection? He must find out who—or what—is behind these attacks. Because if he doesn’t, the next victim might, once again, be someone he loves…

Cold Sanctuary—In a secret lab abandoned for decades, a terror from the past has stirred.

In a tunnel deep beneath an Alaskan mountain, a man is brutally murdered. The first in a series of grisly deaths. It is not long before whispers grow that the Qalupalik, a frightening creature born from centuries of superstition and fear, has come to wreak havoc on the remote coastal settlement of Shackleton, Alaska.

But the town hides a dark secret. Deep beneath a crumbling tower once owned by the military lies a long-forgotten lab with a terrifying history.

When a pair of thieves break in to plunder the lab, they find more than they bargained for, and unleash the past in ways they could never imagine.

Now it’s up to disgraced ex-cop John Decker to stop a killer that should not exist.

Crimson Deep—Deep in the Florida woodlands, a pair of recreational divers are attacked and killed. Miles away, a research team captures an impossible sight on their remote-operated submersible. Meanwhile, a team of bank robbers speeds toward their Florida hideout.

As deaths mount, ex-sheriff John Decker is called from a much-needed vacation by a longtime friend, to help a baffled police department track an impossible enemy. Thrust into one of the most dangerous situations of his life, Decker must combat not only a ruthless killer but a cadre of criminals with nothing to lose.

And the stakes could not be higher, because if Decker fails, it could lead not only to his own death but the demise of the woman he loves.

the first book was good and the narrator not so bad, but the second I stopped about half way through. The narrator was terrible and made it difficult to follow the storyline. Not sure they chose him to narrate, but it was a big mistake.

Horrible Narration

The first book wasn't bad. The narrator was decent. Book 2, the story wasn't as good but the narrator (not the same as book 1) was/is awful. I'm currently listening to book 3 and I am hoping the monster gets the kids just so I don't have to hear this person do the absolute worst child voice imaginable.

The book started out ok.....

The overall story is pretty good, but this has to be the worst narration I’ve ever heard. I’ve latent to over 600 audio books and this narration ranks 701… it’s terrible

Worst narration ever

The first book was good, but the 2nd and 3rd books were increasingly cliche, predictable and characters did things that no one would do. I can overlook some things, but after awhile it’s annoying

Okay
