PG/YA adventure featuring ability growth and teamwork

Solid story and captivating characters with unique in-universe abilities working together to thwart an evil plan to destroy their world. Definitely geared toward a PG rating and possibly young adult audience, but still exciting enough to keep an adult's attention. Interesting uses of intellectual problem solving not just raw muscle power to defeat enemies. Less RPG narrative than one might expect, but enough to maintain an adequate world building feel. Excellent narration by Melanie Hastings, providing a range of vocal styles to the numerous characters encountered. [Disclosure: I received this title for free and listened at 2.0x.]
