A ruthless tycoon

Savage ambition has brought common-born Rhys Winterborne vast wealth and success. In business and beyond, Rhys gets exactly what he wants. And from the moment he meets the shy, aristocratic Lady Helen Ravenel, he is determined to possess her. If he must take her virtue to ensure she marries him, so much the better . . .

A sheltered beauty

Helen has had little contact with the glittering, cynical world of London society. Yet Rhys’s determined seduction awakens an intense mutual passion. Helen’s gentle upbringing belies a stubborn conviction that only she can tame her unruly husband. As Rhys’s enemies conspire against them, Helen must trust him with her darkest secret. The risks are unthinkable . . . the reward, a lifetime of incomparable bliss. And it all begins with…

Lisa Kleypas does it again! I love her books and am never disappointed!!!! I love everything about Helen's story and am glad she came to life in her book!

This is my second book by Lisa Kleypas - I listened to Cold Hearted Rake and thought it was very good but Marrying Winterborne surpassed that. I loved the characters of Helen and Rhys - typical will she won’t she in the beginning and the somewhat brutish male character is written so enjoyably that you root for them to be together. Mary Jane Wells, Welsh accent for Rhys is s bit off putting as it was for Devon Ravenel in Cold Hearted Rake but she does all the other characters so well that you just put that to the back off your mind. Looking forward to listening to the third in the Ravenel series.

A Wonderful Story!!

I loved this from start to finish. The storyline kept me engaged the entire time and the book had just the right amount of angst between the characters. Nothing was too over the top and even the secondary characters were enjoyable.

The narrator was fantastic! Mary Jane Wells could make my grocery list sound amazing. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite female narrators. She's able to make clear and enjoyable distinctions between all of the characters regardless of age, sex, or even accents.

Happy sigh
