First book better

To slow. One spicy scene compared to the first one. Took forever for them to get together just didn’t feel like a romance. It felt more like just all the drama in their lifes instead of being about them not sure if that makes sense.

Sports Romance

Kaitlyn’s character was a refreshing FMC who wanted it all. She put her career first, and now that she's finally successful, she wants to focus on being a mom. However, as a 40-year-old, time is not on her side. This struggle is so relatable!

Then we have Ben, aka Bennett, who brings balance and humor to her life. These two have a 10-year workplace history, evolving from enemies to lovers. He showed her that not everything may happen on her timeline, but he’d do anything to make her happy.

Enemies to lovers

Although it was a little unclear why there was so much animosity between the main characters after their meeting at the hockey rink, the enemies to lovers trope was fun to see become more. They have a lot working against them, but once Ben decides she's it for him, his patience and persistence slowly tears down her walls.

The audio brought the book to life.
