Agatha Christie’s classic Murder in the Mews presents four mystifying criminal conundrums that will seriously test the superior detecting skills of the unflappable Hercule Poirot.

How did a woman holding a pistol in her right hand manage to shoot herself in the left temple? What was the link between a ghost sighting and the disappearance of top secret military plans? How did the bullet that killed Sir Gervase shatter a mirror in another part of the room? And should the beautiful Valentine Chantry flee for her life from the holiday island of Rhodes?

Hercule Poirot is faced with four mystifying cases—each a miniature classic of characterization, incident, and suspense.

The first short story in this audio book, Murder in the Mews, is narrated poorly by Nigel Hawthorne. The rest of the stories are wonderfully narrated by Hugh Fraser. Overall, I found them to be enjoyable quick listens.

Three really engaging mysteries and one OK mystery. Don't let reviews fool you! Highly recommend!

Hawthorne's narration is not a big deal.

It isn't one of my favorites, but it's a classic Christie novel. A very good narrator.

Great writing and narration

Hugh Fraser is to the rescue!
For some reason, the description of this title only includes Nigel Hawthorne as the narrator (who would have received one star as a narrator, mainly due to his poor reading of Poirot), but Hawthorne is only the narrator of the first story in this compilation. The wonderfully talented Hugh Fraser (Captain Hastings to the fans of the television series) narrates the other three stories. Hoorah for Hastings!

Don't fret over the narration of Nigel Hawthorne!
