Profound sentiment. Wish I could get on board with it but the prince in pinstripes has other ideas. Life has been a dream since Killian burst into the ball offering the perfect fit - his heart and mine.

But the treasures he bestows have become his armor, hiding the man I yearn to know.

I refuse to open his little velvet box until he opens himself, letting me see even the dark hallways of his soul...

Kind of called it.

Yes, they unnecessarily carried out the issue in this book. Tore me apart but it was an all around good book. It was so annoying that it took someone so long to tell him to get over himself and his "identity crisis", that's the problem that took too long. Kind of dumb. Again, female narrator is whispering the whole time, that is just annoying. I do like how they came out with better all around relationships at the end so, yes the conflict was necessary, it was just too long. Still a good listen, good ending to this couples story. Not sure about listening to the next since that is an even longer 2 book series for the next couple. We will see.

Story good narration not great

I have to agree with the other ratings that said Devon Grace narration in whisper tones. The story was good but it feel
So much like a cliff hanger making you continue the series to see what happens next.

Abrupt end?

Suddenly “the board” wanted Killian back at the helm (last chapter) after the preceding few chapters went off in a different direction. Seemed like the writer wanted to wrap up the story but either ran out of or didn’t want to develop ideas to make the story flow better.
Otherwise the narration was very good, Jason Clarke’s voice is awesome per usual.

If this book wasn't free for me, I may have not lessened to it, it felt long. and dragged. I usually love a long book. this one you knew was long. I seemed to repeat itself in actions not necessarily word. At one point I thought we are doing that again.
