Loved this story!

Some of the reviews had me questioning choosing this book…I’m glad I didn’t listen. I loved this book. The primary characters, Axe and Caden, were so engaging and I enjoyed their journey towards each other. The story was exciting and interesting…the bad guy (who would have thunk)…a great story!

It's a thing!

Story good. MC are good. Narrator not so much. He would be ok but then he got to the could-dent, would-dent business and he lost me. it annoys me to the point where is interrupts my listening. It really bugs me. It's a thing!!!

Kept Me Listening

Axe and Caden start as strangers who are bound by contract, and end in a happily ever after. This is a fun listen as Caden finds his magic and Axe finds his balance.

Good start to the series

When I wasn’t completely annoyed by Caden and his repetitive mental idiocy - and although all the villains were uber obvious, I liked the story well enough to want to read the next book.

I liked the multi-dimensional aspect, as well as the writer’s approach to the wolf/witch dependency? association? entanglement? collaboration? Whatever you call it…I like it. Oh…and it’s hot. No, not like Death Valley 🏜️…more like 🌶️. 😉

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The narration was on point. Chris Chambers delivers every time…regardless of how many characters you throw at him…you know exactly who’s speaking, always.

Just wasn’t for me. I didn’t connect with the characters and felt like not much was happening. I enjoyed the narration though!
