A Bit Scandalous

This is the 3rd story I have read/heard by MC Beaton. Although I enjoy her stories, this one being a retelling of Cyrano De Bergerac, in the clever way she develops a romantic attachment of our heroine to a coveted gentlemen who thinks her someone else, I was surprised at the sensuality written in the storyline by this author.
I enjoyed the story for the most part, but was disappointed that this author lowered her clean novellas to tamper with the sensual side of romance novels.
Overall very good and the narrator did a good albeit annoying voice to most her characters.

My favorite of the series.

This was such a funny book. Loved loved loved. I laughed out loud on several occasions. Short enough to listen on a day.

silly but much better than first two

The narrator is much, much better than the first two books in the series. The story was frivolous and silly but the narrator read it well. A good story to take your mind off of current events or other stressors.

One of my favorites...such a delightful mix of romance, humor, and cleverness. Charming and fun!

PLEASE LEARN TO READ THE WORDS OR LOOK THEM UP!

This reader must be faking a British accent. Grosvenor, Berkeley, rout, canary and about 5 other words REPEATEDLY MISPRONOUNCED!! what is so bad about it is that it is distracting to anyone who has ever heard these words pronounced correctly. they are not just read once. it's over and over again! I am so tired of the shoddy quality of these recordings!! Please fix this Audible! even if the readers don't care about the quality of their product, audible should.
