'We live as men - but fight like gods.'

A new threat looms over Garik Castle, forcing Bane and Alruna to once again defy the odds to defend the realm. Their quest begins with finding the key to unlocking the Fug and uniting the fractured clans. As the war between gods intensifies and the end of days draws near, the fate of mankind rests in the hands of a mortal.

The first book was excellent, and the second one did not disappoint!

Everything

This book was very predictable. The action/fighting was still cool but I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the last one.

Predictable.

For a series that starts out with a baby being born as his mother hangs, this series reads like YA. But the worst YA. The kind that takes no risks, relies on heavy exposition, and has protagonists with literally no motive other than “evil god.” Also, the narrator insists on performing laughs and smacking noises when characters are eating. Absolutely jarring. Please do not invest time or money in this series. I wasted plenty of both through the first two books and HIGHLY regret it.

Tropes without ingenuity or risk

In this story, the author initially pretends to forget the plot, all to make it more dramatic. The female protagonists are poorly done and are quite obnoxious. Even though there are way worse fantasy novels out there. This story just turned to steaming fecal matter.

Terrible Writing
