Interesting idea

The book starts out a little slow for me. Maybe that is because we are following so many characters at the beginning. By being paid in a game to essentially be an NPC, we get some good world building. The characters are lacking interesting powers so it doesn’t seem like that fun of a game they have joined. The story was fun but slow. I enjoyed their journey. The MC did a good job.

A great series

I've read thru book 5 on RR and I can say that this series is great. I love what WK has done. I just wish he would focus on this series more.

Fun read

I’ve read the authors other books with same narrator and same cheeky humor. Entertaining and worth the read.

Narrator has suspect choices for accents.

Seriously the southern drawl for the smoke golem Joe is terrible. Over exaggerated and just terrible.

One of the best book I’ve listened to

When I first found this on Royal road back in like 2020 ish , I didn’t read it because it was a multi-pov and I wasn’t really in the mood for those back then so I just added it to my list. Now I’m not sure if that was blessing in disguise, when I finally got around to it, I was captivated by how well written and engaging it was. The character are alive and full of emotions. I read all of the 4 books , got the audiobook when it dropped and read ahead on Patreon
