Ozzy escaped the Concord, but the path to Eritol is fraught with new dangers.

Space travel is not for the faint of heart. When an encounter with Captain Voidclaw and his pirates of the Rising Dawn damages Stormy's ship, the crew is forced to dock at Dilennia, a haven for criminals, pirates, and cyberthieves.

Stormy is captured. Ozzy's world is turned upside down.

Rooster and Ozzy must fumble their way through the perils of a criminal paradise city to track her down, and with the help of a skiff racer, a starship saleswoman, and an ancient, moldy old war bot, they discover what Captain Voidclaw is really after—a Tenebra Shard for the Concord's Heart of Darkness.

The pursuit of Captain Voidclaw leads to an epic showdown between Ozzy and the Concord in the streets of Daxis Minor, where the face of the enemy is revealed with devastating consequences.

Ozzy's first encounter with true darkness will reveal what is at stake if he fails to master the Mythbreaker.

Rising Dawn from JN Chaney and Tyler Burnworth is the second installment of an expansive space opera where characters learn just as much about themselves as the galaxy around them—while uncovering the deepest mysteries of their universe one adventure—or misadventure—at a time.

I liked the story and the narration. 5 stars for both. The plot armor on the hand. Well let's just say that it plays a heavy role in moving the story forward. From bots not having faster reflexes than humans to a war bot that is more advanced than anything the general galaxy can field failing to kill a half dozen bots and a human in a closed space.

This is low effort and what I have come to expect from the book mill that Mr. Chaney has created. He has kept the general direction of the narratives but lost the magic. Get well soo, Mr. Cheney.

plot armor is a dangerous drug

The Constant Bereavement from Artemis….. It was beginning to be annoying until the boom stick character finally gave the Young Hero respect and a Break from the insalts….

Otherwise I really enjoyed EVERYTHING! Can’t wait for the next book!🥰👍
