I ignored Aida's warnings, and now I’m ensnared in a ruthless man’s trap.

When I confronted Fabio Alteri, I never anticipated the forbidden twist our encounter would take.

Aida advised against it, but fueled by anger and alcohol, I dared to confront the dangerous don.

He ripped my friend away from me, his own daughter, and I couldn't bear it.

But then, our eyes locked, igniting a fire within my soul.

I shouldn't desire this ruthless Sicilian mafia don.

He's dangerous.

He's forbidden.

He's got no soul.

And yet, an inexplicable force draws me towards him.

He's broken, and I've always had a penchant for fixing broken souls.

The question is: can I mend him, or will he shatter me instead?

I liked this story maybe the best because it brought us to Italy with their food, accents and lifestyle. I think as a narrator Antonio does best as an older man using his accent. He does do younger men without an accent and I think it’s fine. Anyway, both narrators have an accent and the story flows and it’s part of a series so you really need to start at book one to understand fully. I was a bit disappointed in Aida but I get it from book one, she was really hurt by her father. This is his story btw. It was romantic and hot. All the books in this series have a dom/sub theme. Hot photo cover too!!

I am a fan of Bianca Cole because she has a remarkable ability to evoke emotions in her readers. I love how she crafts more dialogues between her characters rather than relying on repetitive inner thoughts.

However, what pulled me out of this book was the male narrator. His voice sounded very tired and old, almost like a grandfather, which was surprising, considering the character he was portraying. A 50-year-old man can still be vibrant and healthy, especially the one described in this book. I could not pass through a few chapters since his voice shut me down completely.

Good story but

the story is good specially because his the father of the main character on the first book of the series so it has a little insight into what's going on with them but the narrator sound like an old Dracula and I couldn't put it pass that, so the sex scenes were just annoying and I had to keep forwarding.

good story but I couldn't stand the way the narrator sounded like Dracula and not in a good way.
