Safe in His Arms, an Audiobook by Kelly Myers, is a compilation of the first four books in the Platinum Security: Shadows of LA collection. And, boy are you in for a treat with this set!!!

First, there’s Stars and Scars, the story of Grayson and Charlotte. She’s a successful influencer. When she is targeted with death threats, Grayson in sent in to protect her. She’s is in tremendous danger and something has to change…or she will end up in a very bad way…Loved this story! There was plenty of action, danger, intrigue, betrayals, twists and turns galore…and oh, so much romance!!

Next is, Silk and Steel, which follows Cole and Emory. Cole is the newest recruit of the Platinum Security and his first assignment is to protect Emory. She is a choreographer, trying to make it big by working with a boy band’s comeback. Overall loved the story! Great characters!

Third, we have Glamour and Grit, the story of Dane and Selene. Selene just got hired as a makeup artist…temporarily. Her brother gets into some trouble…and brings her along for the ride. Dane is a former Navy SEAL who is destroying himself because an error. He is asked to protect her by a friend. Selene is great…almost too great…but, I admired her. Some confusion for me in this story

Finally, there’s Velvet & Valor, which follows Axel and June. She’s a film producer and, at the airport, runs into some problems….Luckily, Axel is there to help out. We discover that the danger for her runs deeper than anyone ever imagined. But, Axel is there every step of the way….with or without her approval. Liked the characters…some slow, mid-read areas, but overall a great read!

All four of these Audiobooks were narrated by Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliott, and I loved them both!!! I especially enjoyed the way they performed the notifications Charlotte receives from the group threatening her, in the first book. Both were fantastic!!

Four great books!

This complete book set is great and narration is excellent. The first book, Stars and Scars, had like a digital robot sound that freaked me out at first, but definitely laughable afterwards. It's only done a few times and goes with the storyline.

All of the books have great narration and storylines. I like that the main characters, aside from being an influencer in book one, are not all move stars or famous musicians, they are in the field/industry and have important jobs with great connections.

Book three, Glamour and Grit was my favorite. The male main character was a Navy Seal and I love a good story with ex-military 🫣 . Just all-around well written and each book works well together or by itself.

Loved All Four Books

I read these books and enjoyed them, but I enjoyed them so much more when I listened to them. I love Kelly Myers' writing style and think she chose the perfect narrators to bring this series to life. Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliott do a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life; they give each character a voice that's perfect for them. The characters' personalities are brought out convincingly, and every emotion is brought to the fore.

This was a good story. Dane has emotional baggage from his time in the military, and protecting Selene is just what he needed.

Velvet & Valour is Axel and June's story. She’s a film producer who runs into trouble at an airport, but fortunately for her, Axel is there to save the day. However, the danger to her is more than anyone thought, and even if she doesn't want his help, Axel is there every step of the way.

This is a non-spoiler review; the stories are too good to ruin.

Action Packed with Steamy Chemistry

Safe in His Arms is a 4 book box set of interconnected characters immersed in danger, suspense, drama, and steamy chemistry. These supplemental characters to the Platinum Security world each earn their place on the team as they fall for the women they are assigned to protect.

Stars and Scars is a rocking first book in the Platinum Security series spinoff! I was intrigued by Grayson ever since he first appeared in that series, and I thoroughly loved his story. He and Charlotte have dynamite chemistry, and they make quite the duo! Charlotte’s sunshine personality and her heart of gold are so enigmatic, and I adore that she is always looking to help others. Her proactive and practical outlook are refreshing, as is her ability to balance her needs with the needs of her situation. She allows Grayson to keep her safe and she is always willing to hear him out. Grayson is quite the mysterious personality, which tracks given his background. Watching him grow and open his heart to Charlotte is swoony sweet. With a lovely blend of action, intrigue, mystery, drama, and steam, the story moves quickly and is so easy to get sucked into. The narrators’ performances enhance the world building and really bring the characters to life. Loved it!

Silk & Steel is the enthralling second story in the Platinum Security series spinoff. Retired Navy SEAL Cole is an enigma wrapped in a mystery, and watching him navigate being Emory’s bodyguard while her psycho ex threatenes her and her loved ones is so much fun. Emory has built a career on her own, but has zero awareness of security and safety. It’s fascinating to me how she pushes Cole’s buttons so much. The chemistry between them is intense, and the level of crazy Julian brings is off the chain. The action, adventure, and wide array of supporting characters presents a multifaceted plot with lots of twists and heat. So much fun! I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook—the narrators performed the various roles and personalities beautifully and elevated this story to the next level of entertainment. Their voices are smooth and easy to listen to, and the characters’ personalities really shined.

Glamour & Grit is pulse pounding action and heat! This third installment features traumatized veteran Dane assigned as bodyguard to Selene, a Hollywood special effects creator whose brother has put her in grave danger through his own foolish actions. Dane is complex and fascinating—his hard angles juxtaposed by the softer side that Selene brings out of him. Selene is stubborn and lacks common sense when it comes to safety and security, but she makes up for it with her caring and compassion. That she keeps bailing her brother out is understandable, but she really needs to learn the lesson of where to draw the line. Dane and Selene teach each other a lot as they navigate the challenges thrown their way, and the scene where he confesses his feelings is beautifully done.

Velvet and Valor is an action-packed thrill ride filled with humor, danger, suspense, and steam. Retired Army Ranger Axel is precocious, daring, and wild—hiding a truly suffering soul underneath. June is—well, she is bossy and controlling but also completely unaware of her surroundings most of the time. She is impulsive and bold while also being being caring and sweet. That she truly sees Axel and his softer side is beautiful, and he falls so freaking hard for her! They give into their feelings with wild abandon, and their chemistry is off the charts. The twists and turns in the plot are engaging and keep you on your toes. The audiobook is on point with narrators who deliver dynamite performances. Loved the extended epilogues!
