MEET RETIRED COP, SAM PRICHARD.

Perennial
USA TODAY & Amazon 3-million copy bestselling author DAVID ARCHER is at his peak in this suspenseful psychological mystery series!

Books Included:

  • Death Sung Softly (Book 2)
  • Love and War (Book 3)
  • Framed (Book 4)

Sam Prichard was a cop, and a good one, until the bullets took out the joint of his right hip. Now he's trying to learn to live without being a cop, and getting to know his neighbors, learning to walk again and even ride a motorcycle. Life is bearable, barely, but then he gets asked to find a missing child, and the lure of getting back into some kind of police work is too much for him to resist. When he teams up with computer whiz Indiana Perkins, he suddenly becomes one of the best investigators he's ever even known.

Now, he's found the missing child, but it's thrown him right into the middle of something that may be a drug war--or could be a chance to stop the next 911! There's no way out for Sam, so he's in for the ride of his life, but when the girl he's becoming fond of is suddenly drawn into the line of fire with her own little daughter, Sam is ready to forget all the rules and do whatever is necessary to win the day.

becareful not to read the series's out of order like I did. I read the firdt book from a different series with Sam and Harry when Harry left the secret service only to then figure out this series was firdt. And there appears to be about 11 books!

Anyway, two things that are agro for me is that when they are running down exapleof something go into too many. like uugh. and then the other thi g, even though its kinda growing on me is the whole song singing Sam does. the voice doesn't exactly sound like Sam but I get people's singing voice and talking voice can sound dissimilar.

One more thing, spoiler alert!!! it was odd and seemed disjointed from the stories that Sam's old partner was killed. Didnt really make big difference in the story one way or another. oh, and another spoiler alert, why didnt Sam sue the estate of the dentist for his share of the cash. he technically should have been paid. Great series... on to read 5-8

I am puzzled by other reviewers criticism of the songs included in this audiobook. I enjoyed them. I have certainly heard "hit" songs that were less well written. Maybe they are just not country music fans? The singing was well done and different in a book. I like Sam. I enjoyed the stories. I encourage you to listen and make up your own mind. The narrator is very talented.

Loved The Music!

Why on earth do we have to listen to substandard songs and singers in a mystery novel ?? I fast forwarded the plethora of songs - such a disappointment.

Singing songs Really ??!!
