love all of zoes books and started listening to them now... but can't wait hear Harrison and Lucien M book

surprising and awesome. difficult to listen to occasionally due to the very bad bot.

good narrators kept my interest.
looking for the follow up read now,can not wait for the next read.

Marksen was a cruel abusive liar, selfish & ignorant. He did not deserve Amelia. Doesn’t matter if she grew a little back bone at about 85%.
She didn’t make him suffer or grovel. She practically begs him to be with her for real at the end. He agreed begrudgingly. Lost my sympathy for her for sure at that point.
What he does to her & how he treats her (with zero remorse) is heartbreaking & often anger inducing.
Near the 80-90% mark he had a few paragraphs of remorse out of nowhere & then there’s zero interaction between the 2 after & basically jumps to her determined to get him back. It was the worst.
2 things I cannot get behind in a romance book, 1) H is cruel & never has to answer for his behavior (including things that are brought up but the heroine never knows about or worse, she does but ignores it). Then without explanation it the heroine just accepts him & hea/hfn ???
2) same as everything above, except there’s a tiny bit of character development (remorse/guilt) at nearly the end & theres very little done to resolve their differences or the past.
This book is the 2nd one.
Absolutely hate hearing what a manwh$&re he is (a lot of his internal bragging, even at 60-70% mark) but never felt it was an issue for her (didn’t see the point, almost like an inside joke between the reader & Marksen, like she doesn’t know this is my f…ck pad & safe sex? Why??? Haha 👎🏼 🙄 He admitted he screwed many women in his bed but other than putting her in a diff bed at one point it was never brought up.

This was my least favorite book in the series.

He needed to suffer a LOT more.

This irritates me because I enjoyed the other books in this series.
ALSO, I LOVE THE NARRATORS. THEY ARE 2 OF MY FAVORITE & TO BE HONEST, THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THE AUDIOBOOK!! 🎧🎧❤️❤️

I can’t listen to the female voice!! Sounds like everything she says is a question.

No story. I’m not a prude but this book was a book about nothing but sex. The author wanted you to portray the MFC as a smart business woman but made her look like a stupid little submissive girl. Stopped and started this book three times before I could finish. The narration wasn’t very good.
