Pretending marriage, growing love and so much hate to overcome. Love it and enjoyed the narration of the storyline.

Bill o & Vera

Another good look in this series. I purchased the audio version and love that 2 of my favorite narrators are doing the entire series. This story takes place mostly in Russia. While the main characters were written very well, I struggle just a bit with some of the plot points. For example: if Irina wanted to rule with Vera’s father that she put out a hit on Vera, why not put one out on her sister Lydia as well. Also, why try to poison Harper? I understand she was trying to pit the 2 families against each other, but the attack on Lev had already happened, so why go after Harper? Anyway, I’m sure it’s attributed to her derangement but still worthy of mentioning. Also, these little bits in no way detract from the overall story. I am still enjoying this series. I highly recommend getting the audio version, the accents are fantastic.

Great story with fantastic narration.

I’ve been wanting to dive into Jane’s words for a while now, so I was stoked to grab this audio in the recent Audible sale at a steal! And I do love a good bodyguard romance. I’m sorry, but I grew up with Whitney and Kevin, and they will forever be the image of a bodyguard romance for me. This one’s a little different, as this is between two opposing families, and there isn’t a popstar in sight!

Henry had me hooked! There’s action, danger, a strong, intelligent FMC, an alpha MMC, a fake relationship, forced proximity, only one bed, BDSM, heat, and heart.

This book moves along at a good pace that kept me engaged. I loved Vera. She was headstrong and determined, and Nico was commanding and dominating, but also caring and kind to Vera. Their feelings develop from a fake relationship and sizzling heat.

Kai and Wen have an easy chemistry. The accents were on point, and I loved the duet-style narration. They really brought this story to life.

If you like all the above tropes with a side of age gap (because who doesn’t love a little forbidden), then this is the audiobook for you!
