Being the man of honor in my best friend Livvy's wedding wouldn't be such a big deal—if I wasn't in love with her.

But I won't turn her down. No matter how much it'll tear my heart out to watch her walk down the aisle toward another man.

It should have been us—from friends to lovers and back again. But after college, I was so busy building my empire that I let her slip through my fingers. She was my first. And once she realizes he's the wrong one for her…

I'll be her last.

She Was Mine First is a friends-to-lover, second-chance romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author M. Robinson.

The way we all want our dream love story to be told. This was the best read I’ve had in a while. It was real. Ethan’s story is how a lot of us feel when we are in love with a friend.
I need more stories like this one.

I’m assuming the narrators are mispronouncing “Beau”?

That oddity aside, this was a good, lighthearted friends-to-lovers romance substantially enhanced by two very talented narrators.

If you’re looking for a similar story, I strongly recommend Bad Things: the Tristan and Danika story. It’s in my Top 3 must reads. Very similar, but much darker. A minimum of 3 plot points that’ll have you sobbing like a baby. (I actually thought this was the same male narrator…they sound very similar!)

Who TF is “Bew”??

I would’ve given this more stars if I hadn’t read her other books. Coming off reading the good ol boys and the Jameson brothers, this book had A LOT of repetitive dialogue and scenes from her other books that felt copy pasted into this one. That was really disappointing.
