Amber is a young videographer who has landed her dream job. She is to produce a web series based on a late-night talk radio show dealing with the unexplained. She is a huge fan of the show, and its host, Jack Owens, who she hopes to help reveal the world’s most cryptic secrets. The first secret she reveals is Jack’s. He doesn’t believe any of this crap. To him, the show is just a cushy job that allows him to support himself and his wife without having to try very hard. He doesn’t want to leave his house, go anywhere near the things he’s reported on or the people who come on his show, who he thinks, or at least hopes, are liars. But go near them, he will! And so will you! Join Jack and Amber as they encounter: monstrous creatures, scientific anomalies, shadowy conspiracies, secretive agencies, medical abnormalities, ancient curses, life after death and/or the key to immortality (Yes! Both of those things)! All that, and some really creepy kids! Listen to this book, and you’ll agree, “That’s Not Right."

Exactly what I always hope for in a scott meyer book. Actually had me laughing out loud. Luke Daniel's is the perfect pick for narration as well. Well done.

Thank you Scott Meyer

Like most Scott Meyer books, this one is light and silly. A radio host who has a latenight show about bizarre happenings with lots of crazy callers teams up with a producer who wants to add video and put him on the web. Hilarity ensues. I think Luke Daniels was a little over the top with the voice of the radio host sometimes, but overall this was an entertaining read and the voices he did for the various characters made it more fun. I'd just finished reading some post-apocalyptic books and wanted a less weighty read. This was a good antidote. If Scott ever writes a part two to this one, I'll buy it for sure.

Cute and fun

Gotta say, of all the stories in this book, I think I loved the small-cano one the most!

Fun, light and a little bit crazy

If you like Scott's other books you'll like this book. It's got the great humor of Magic 2.0 but with cryptids

Cant wait to hear more of this series

Funny! I enjoyed the book, but not quite as much as most of Scott Meyer's books. Perhaps because of the unusual genre. Perhaps because of how it indicates that cranks and conspiracy theorists are often correct in their wild beliefs. But there were many genuinely entertaining moments and original ideas. Also a shoutout for how this story revolves around the relationship between a man and a woman that is NOT romantic. She's a rapidly disillusioned fan who wants to work with him to help her career. He is incredibly reluctant, ensure it will all turn out badly. Their working relationship has plenty of dramatic ups and downs as they endure crazy hijinks.

Entertaining
