I'm a picky reader and I enjoyed this book. If your reading the comments i know your overthinking it, don't. I will be impatiently waiting for the next 2 books.

HURRIED ENDING!!!

The author writes a compelling story; except for the last two chapters. Then, she hurriedly wraps things up in the last chapter; making all 3 books of hers I've read highly disappointing and NOT worth buying anymore of her books. Very sad. I can not recommend this or any of her books.

It doesn’t rush the connection between the leads, which makes their eventual chemistry feel earned and powerful.

The world-building is rich without being overwhelming, and the fated mate trope is handled with a refreshing twist that avoids clichés. The pacing is steady, allowing each character arc to unfold naturally. You really get time to feel the stakes and root for the main characters.

Narration-wise, it’s a great listen. The voice actor nails both the emotional nuance and character variety, making it easy to stay immersed from start to finish. If you’re into shifter romance with a grounded emotional core, this one’s worth queuing up.

A Good Story!

This was a really good story! The secret was easy to spot, which made it all the more fun as we waited on the edge of our seats for everyone else to catch on. The plot pulls you in and keeps you hooked, rooting for the good guy(s) the whole way through. I’m definitely looking forward to diving into book two!
