“Riveting and compulsively listenable.” –Woman’s World
Scream meets The Guest List in this wickedly compelling and compulsively listenable thriller of friendship and murder from the author of The Lost Village, Camilla Sten.

On a remote island nestled off the coast of Sweden, four friends—Tilly, Anna, Linnea and Evelina—meet every year. Best friends since childhood, the idea is to drink beer, dance by the water, and shake off the weight of life's expectations. The location of the island is a secret to everyone but them. One night of reckless fun and secret-sharing, and then they return to their normal lives.

Ten Years Later. Ever since she was a teenager, Tessa Nilsson has been consumed by the story of four friends who disappeared. As her true crime fervor turned into a wildly popular podcast, Tessa covered Sweden’s most gruesome cases, but could never find the answers behind what happened to these women who disappeared. Now Tessa’s podcast has crashed and burned, any chance she had at uncovering the truth vanishing with it.

Anneliese is Tessa’s best friend, and before she walks down the aisle, she wants to have a bachelorette party. The destination: Baltic Vinyasa, a sleek, sophisticated yoga retreat on a small island off the coast—one with such similar characteristics to the tragedy years ago that it raises the hair on Tessa’s neck. The idea is to drink gallons of cava, do sunrise yoga, and get in their last chance to bond with the bride. Tessa will not pass this up. It’s her last chance to find out what happened to the four women, once and for all.

And it’s someone else’s last chance to get revenge.

"A tense, creepy thriller that manages to be at once deeply unsettling and tremendously fun to read." —Chris Pavone, New York Times bestselling author of Two Nights in Lisbon

“This is Agatha Christie meets Scream. With humor as sharp as knives, Camilla Sten’s The Bachelorette Party is a propulsive dive into one woman’s last chance at redemption—and a killer’s last chance at revenge. Dark, twisty, and tense, this is Camilla Sten at her best.” —Melissa Larsen, author of Shutter

"Sten (The Resting Place) excels at building the creepy horror and chilling tension. Readers who like their thrillers bloody and gory will enjoy this dark Nordic take." —First Clue

Well-written, fast-paced, and such a winding and fun story! Camilla Sten has a new fan, and I can’t wait to read the next story they write.

So much fun!

While I really enjoyed The Lost Village, I did not enjoy this book. I found the main character to be whiny, paranoid and weak. The story, especially at the end, was just unbelievably, well, unbelievable and kind of dumb. I did not like the many comments from the bisexual main character about “loving d*ck as much as the next woman” as if a man is nothing but his genitalia. The main character complained about others seeing bisexuals as nothing but sl*ts, while very much demonstrating that she’d behaved just that way in her past. It came across as a lesbian writing about a bisexual character and not an actual bisexual. The character would have been much more believable as a lesbian as she very much only seemed interested in woman despite “loving d*ck”. I’d loved to have nothing to say about the characters sexual preferences but this story was overloaded with that stuff. Besides that, what really just dragged this story on, was the main character’s internal monologue that just went on and on insistently and for much longer than necessary over and over again throughout the entire book. And, as I said, she was so whinny and the voice that read this book very much demonstrated that whininess. I will no longer be reading any books from this author. I celebrated being able to delete this book from my device. It appears The Lost Village might have been a one hit wonder.
