Most of us will begin—and end—many relationships in our lives. Why is it so difficult to keep one love for a lifetime? Daphne Rose Kingma's The Breakup Bible is a landmark guide that shares a new view of why we fall in and out of love, and why this painful process is not only natural but essential if we are to find true love.
Vividly illustrated with real-life examples from Kingma's 25 years of work with couples in therapy, The Breakup Bible unravels the many layers of emotional experience after a love ends, to show that each relationship is a unique stepping-stone in our development as human beings.

Kingma's profound insights take the blame and fear out of the ending of a love affair, and contextualize it as a life-giving experience. Using checklists, examples, and exercises, Kingma offers real answers to such questions as: Why did this happen? What can I do now to start healing? Why do I pick the lovers I do? Will I ever love again?

There are many insightful works on how to begin a relationship, but The Breakup Bible is a true classic on when and how to end one.

I finally found a book that it’s easy to understand. Talk the topic as described in the title and went deep and down to the point.

I loved most of this book. The one part I struggled with was the ceremony between ex partners. I felt it was a bit much. Maybe that works for some exes but not in my situations. I think that is very situational. Overall I think it helps us all to understand why we do the things we do and how to get past relationships and move on. Regardless of the time length.

Daphne Rose Kingma's writings have helped me on so many levels in the past 9 years since the breakup of a precious and tumultuous 24 year relationship I had with my one and only husband. The Breakup Bible echoed things I thought only I felt and has helped me see hope for a future I had given up on.

Helpful on so many levels

The book was great and I enjoyed it but why does it simply end without saying the signature audible line at the end? I sort of felt like maybe it wasn’t really the end of the book but that it just got cut off lol

Why does it in so weird?
