He stole her to hurt his enemy. He never planned to fall for her. A vengeful warrior abducts the proud daughter of the man who murdered his father—only to discover she is his soulmate. Vengeance and epic love collide on Medieval Isle of Mull.

Jack Maclean wants revenge against the man who butchered his father. He’s waited long enough to claim it, but now he has a plan: he’s going to hit Kendric Mackinnon where it hurts and steal his lovely daughter.

Tara Mackinnon is doggedly loyal to her clan. She’ll do what she can to help her father gain the edge over their enemies—the Macleans—including marrying to secure a powerful alliance.

But when a stranger abducts her, Tara is thrown into another life, full of danger and unexpected passion. Dragged into the wilds of the Isle of Mull, with her father’s men hunting them, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to the warrior who has stolen her.

And it doesn’t take Jack long before he makes a soul-shattering discovery.

He should hate the woman he’s stolen … but why does it feel like he’s been looking for her his entire life?

THE BRIDE HE STOLE is Book Two of an exciting new Medieval Scottish Romance trilogy by Jayne Castel—full of flawed yet irresistible Highland warriors and determined Scottish lasses!

A really good audio book. A nice love story. I liked the interaction between the main characters. All the characters are well developed. The plot is well developed and moved at a good pace. I listened to this story on an Amazon Fire with Audible. The narrative was delivered with a nice Scottish accent. The sound was clear and at a nice pace. I definitely recommend this audio book. I received this audio book as an ARC for a honest and voluntary review.

I loved how this story evolved the longer Jack and Tara spent together.
It started with one man’s desperate need of revenge and the lengths he would go to exact it.
Jack not able to get past his father’s death sets in motion the kidnapping of his enemies daughter.
Not thinking how harming it could be to the innocent lass until it was too late.
Strong willed and never wanting to give up Tara did her best to thwart Jack along the way.
Spending so much time in each others company and knowing how he feels, will Jack carry out his plan to the bitter end?
Will Tara’s duty and loyalty to her clan win out? Or will she realise too late what she is throwing away?
This story was beautifully written dealing with a mixture of emotions from unending sorrow for a father lost, hate, danger and eventually to that of respect and love with some very passionate scenes along the way.
I’m really looking forward to what lays ahead for each character that we’ve been introduced to so far and the battle that must surely happen coming up in the final book in the trilogy.
A must read.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
