Welcome to Blessings, Georgia, the small town with a big heart! Anyone from a small town can tell you that gossip never stays quiet for long. The biggest news lately is Ruby Dye: she's been receiving gifts from a secret admirer. But Ruby isn't sure she can trust this newfound happiness.

Nobody knows the dark secrets she keeps about her life before she arrived in Blessings. Is this the beginning of a would-be romance, or is she the target of something more sinister?

Everyone admires Ruby and her determination to do the right thing, especially local lawyer "Peanut" Butterman. He's finally ready to tell her how he feels. But when trouble arrives on Ruby's doorstep and their little town is threatened, Peanut may have to prove himself in ways he never imagined.

Review originally of ebook borrowed through my library’s Libby app. I liked the series so much I bought the audiobooks during Audible’s site wide sale.
Possible Spoilers:
This is a good one in that two central characters in this series recognize and openly admit to loving each other.
Ruby Dye came to Blessings 15 years earlier after divorcing her abusive husband. She opened the Curl Up and Dye hair salon and became a central figure in the town. She helps organize everything from clothes drives to the Miss Peachy Keen contest. Since the barber shop closed, her salon caters to both men and women. The townspeople know they can trust her but she doesn’t suffer fools.
P. Nutt Butterman is the only practicing Lawyer in Blessings and he takes his job seriously, especially when it comes to the underdog who may or may not be able to pay him. He’s also there for the town. I really enjoyed the character of Charlie and his dog Booger. My favorite scene is the wedding.
Rubinate is mostly ok as narrator.

I just realized last night that none of the books in this series has cursing in it, nor graphic sex. It's not your traditional boring christian romance either. :-)

Sweet

Another awesome read about Blessings, Georgia. They just keep getting better and better. I’m pretty sure this one has all the elements of a good read….humor, sadness, romance, suspense and just life in general. Thank you again Sharon Sala. You are an exceptional writer.

The Color of Love (Blessings, Georgia, #5) was another good read by Sharon Sala. Ruby Dye has been receiving gifts from a secret admirer. But she doesn’t know if she can trust this happiness that she’s feeling. Nobody knows anything about the life she led before ending up in Blessings, Georgia. “Peanut” is the local lawyer who finds himself ready to tell Ruby just how he feels towards her. Ruby never thought that trouble would end up on her doorstep and then Peanut knows he has to prove himself in a way he didn’t think he would. I loved reading Ruby and Peanut’s story and can’t wait to read more by Sharon Sala.
