In Marcia Clark's most electrifying thriller yet, Los Angeles District Attorney Rachel Knight investigates a horrifying high school massacre.

A Columbine-style shooting at a high school in the San Fernando Valley has left a community shaken to its core. Two students are identified as the killers. Both are dead, believed to have committed a mutual suicide.

In the aftermath of the shooting, LA Special Trials prosecutor Rachel Knight teams up with her best girlfriend, LAPD detective Bailey Keller. As Rachel and Bailey interview students at the high school, they realize that the facts don't add up. Could it be that the students suspected of being the shooters are actually victims? And if so, does that mean that the real killers are still on the loose?

A dramatic leap forward in Marcia Clark's highly acclaimed Rachel Knight series, The Competition is an unforgettable story that will stay with readers long after the last page has been turned.

Why does Bailey sound like she’s tired, sick or on drugs? It’s annoying and seems different than the last book Killer Ambition

This is my first Marcia Clark novel. I immensely enjoyed it. The characters were very likable. I loved the details of their personalities shining through with their eccentricities. The storyline was riveting. This is number four in the series if I remember correctly. There were some references made to other stories but that didn’t distract from this novel.

Excellent book!! The details, the story and the twists along the way keep the listener engaged and on the edge of their seats. I couldn’t stop listening! Fantastic writing and the two main characters are easily relatable in their hunt for the shooters. This book is on point and tragically playing out in different areas of the country daily.

Never saw it coming!

I absolutely love the vividness of Marcia Clark's writing. The book gave me chills. The reader was incredible as always. I sometimes expect to see Rachel, Toni, or Bailey when I'm downtown in LA or. near the Biltmore. I love these characters and the stories are well constructed. It's Pilot Season... I'd love to see and be a part of such a great project! #2019Emmy ?

Amazing Amazing Amazing

Me gustó mucho
