FOURTH EDITION 2026: NEWLY REVISED IN AUTHENTIC AUSTEN STYLE
Put the kettle on and settle in for a thrilling journey through this pride and prejudice variation where a newfound love battles chilling curses and buried truth
Fitzwilliam Darcy is a man tormented by a past that refuses to remain buried. A recluse by choice and by sorrow, he has shut himself away from the world—until a letter arrives from his dearest friend Bingley, newly wed and settled on the stormy shores of Penzance. The invitation is simple enough. The condition attached to it is rather less so—that Darcy bring with him a certain Miss Elizabeth Bennet.
What begins as a genteel seaside visit to Cornwall soon descends into something altogether darker—ancient legends stir beneath the cliffs of Land's End and something watches from the mist.
But as reason falters, a newfound love burns against the darkness. And so Darcy must confront not merely the ghosts of his past but truths far more dangerous in the present—truths that certain powerful men will kill to keep buried.

REVIEWS
Thoroughly entertaining (through my, at times, rather wet eyes), read this through as soon as it hit my Kindle this morning. I'm an avid JAFF reader, and this is one of the best I've read in a very, very long time.

I devoured this book. […] I found the story very gripping.
Elizabeth Bennet, USA
I’ve read similar stories where Elizabeth and/or Darcy get kidnapped, but this story still had enough originality to keep me riveted and devouring page by page until I was done.

I loved how it was done. No time wasted on nonsense we already know.
Mrs Darcy, Canada
This story was fantastic & so exciting! I loved it so much, I hope to find another story by Ms. Lorimer. Finally, a story that went to a satisfying conclusion!

When they were fighting the pirates and Richard saw both Darcy and Lizzy fighting side by side, I thought this would be a good story to tell their children. It brought tears to my eyes, I could not put it down, I loved it.
