Two missing wives—one rich and one poor. One of them may have gotten a divorce and married a gigolo, and the other may be dead. Lucius Anoraq’s not sure he cares about either one, but he’s not paid to care.

Lucius is always in the right place and his mind is an amazing thing. Unraveling this mystery was intriguing and entertaining. As usual I didn't see it coming. Enjoyable. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

great mystery

P.C. Hatter you did it again with this well written story because every time I thought I had it figured out new facts came to light. Lucius is hired by an egomaniac of a husband to find his missing wife after he receives a Dear John letter from her. While investigating the wife's disappearance Lucius and a caretaker stumble upon a dead woman in the river that's when the case starts to take on a more sinister tone.
This story has more twist and turns in it than a corkscrew. There are so many unanswered questions and those that are answered may not be correct. The bodies and lies start to pile up as well as questions and Lucius is not quite sure what he has accidentally stepped into. I truly enjoyed this case filled with murder, blackmail, adultery, corruption and secrets. James Scott Spaid is a phenomenal narrator bringing the characters and story to life. I highly recommend this clean book to all mystery lovers who love a good whodunit with a lot of twist.
I received this book for free upon my request but it has no bearing my review. This is my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving of my own volition.
