When a soggy bottom is the least of your worries....

The producers of Witchflix TV favorite The Great Witchy Cake Off are searching for somewhere new to base the filming of their next series. Naturally, Alfhild Daemonne, a long time fan of all things cakey, invites them to Whittle Inn.

But what seemed like a great opportunity for a little harmless Wonky Inn self-promotion backfires when, at dawn on the first day of filming, one of the contestants is found toes-up outside the famous marquee.

Alf can’t believe her rotten luck.

But it’s not all bad news. The producers need a fresh contestant, and Florence the ghost—Alf's long-dead housekeeper—is in the right place at the right time. Who knew the baking world could be so deadly? But never mind, solving this mystery should be a piece of cake.

Shouldn’t it?

Chaos, catastrophe, ghosts, and giggles in this warm and wonky, clean and cozy witch series of mysteries.

The Great Witchy Cake Off is a standalone but complements the Wonky Inn series as a whole. Best served with a huge Devonshire Cream Tea!

The Great Witchy Cake-off is being held at Whittle Inn. When the show brings together the producers, cast and crew from Witchflix TV, an Inn full of supernaturals and ghosts, what could possibly go wrong?! Unfortunately, quite a lot! Luckily, Alfhild Daemonne and her friends are on scene to solve the mysteries.

This is an excellent book in an extremely enjoyable series by Jeannie Wycherley. She has written well developed characters and great story lines. The characters grow and mature over the course of the series and even the ghosts’ backstories get “fleshed out”. There is a lot of real emotion and a little of fun and humor. The narration by Tara-Louise Kaye is outstanding. Her performance brings the characters and story to life.

I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a cozy mystery with engaging storylines, good mysteries, recurring characters who are quirky and interesting and a lot of fun.

A great addition to the Wonky Inn series

The Great Witchy Cake Off book 7 in the Wonky Inn series by Jeannie Wycherley continues to delight me with her great cast of quirky characters who continue to grow and stumped me as to who the bad guys were, which hardly ever happens. Tara-Louise Kaye does a fantastic job narrating this book. Love this series and can't wait for more!

Audiobook review: I liked the narrator. She has a pleasant voice and is easily understood. She uses different voices for the characters and good inflections, keeping my interest as I listened.

Story review:
I love this series and thoroughly enjoyed this book. Alf is a wonderful compassionate witch plus a ghost whisperer. Her Wonky Inn is full of resident ghosts and attracts interesting guests. Mysterious happenings start occurring while a reality baking show is filming at the inn and after a dead body is discovered. Join Alf and her friends on an entertaining journey as they try to solve the mysteries.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Although I've enjoyed all the books in this series so far, this one was very humorous for me. I was amused by the elements which were similar to the contemporary show related to baking. I thought the idea of having a contestant who was a ghost was whimsical and diverting. I was entertained by the twists in the murder case. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I thought Tara-Louise Kaye's narration was great as her performance was entertaining. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
