Paradise is supposed to be a short-term stop. Until Thor shows up. Okay, not the real Thor. But replace the hammer with a dog who won't stop barking, and Adam Thomsen is definitely long-haired Thor's doppelganger. Too bad for me, he's decided I'm the villain in his story. Too bad for him, his scowl is no match for my super-powered positivity.

It's a good thing, too, because we have to work together rehabbing a home in Paradise Valley-an assignment that, if I get right, will launch my career in a big way. So I just have to play nice with my grouchy contractor. Even if he never smiles. And wishes I wasn't here. And disagrees with me about practically everything, including the whole reason I'm in Paradise in the first place. I'm convinced Adam is the last man on earth I should fall for. The obstacle keeping me from all my dreams.

But then I hear him sing. And he finds me antlers (Long story). And suddenly, somehow, he's everything I've ever wanted even if we do still disagree. Unfortunately, there's more on the line than just my job. Friendships, family relationships, and a town full of history are all at risk. I want to believe I can have it all, but this is Paradise, and my name is EVE. Odds are, I'm headed for banishment. And this time, Adam isn't coming with me.

Adam and Evie’s love story happens naturally, but not without some hiccups. This was a sweet romance set in a fun town.

Fun, cute story!

Part one of a four part series is the perfect introduction to the Thompson brothers plus their friends and family. This book is cute and fun with the perfect mix of emotions and healing. 5 Stars!!!

The squeaky voiced female talking for both characters often trips you up because the actual voice for the male is a very deep baratone. She makes the male sound like an old creepy crackily person. Why didn’t the male actor voice ALL parts for his character?

Does the female voice actress get paid more for doing both male & female characters? She shouldn’t.

I was looking for a new rom-com to read when this book popped up. Since I hadn’t read anything by this author before, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very disappointing. The story felt slow and uneventful, and I kept waiting for something interesting or funny to happen between the main characters—but it never really did. I never became invested in the plot or the relationship, and by the end I honestly didn’t care how the story wrapped up. I even found myself skipping a few chapters just to get through it faster. Sadly, this one just wasn’t for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Boring!

Clean romance is one thing but evangelism romance, gross. I want escapism not preaching. If this is your jam enjoy. I will take four men railing one woman over this.

Oh hell no.
