From best-selling author Brenda Rickman Vantrease comes The Heretic's Wife, a magnificent tale about the power of love and the perils of faith. Tudor England is a precarious place for booksellers Kate Gough and her brother John, who offer forbidden translations of the Bible. Caught between warring factions—led by English opponents of the Lutheran reformation and Henry the VIII himself—Kate embarks on a daring adventure that will lead her into a dangerous marriage and a web of intrigue that pits her against powerful enemies.

You feel as though you are really there and in each person's mind. Highly creative while also sticking to historical fact. I learned so much about the at age and time. I have to take a break because the main character goes through so u h but loving forward to starting another book and when finished will come right back to this one with great curiosity and anticipation. If you like intense historical truth... this is your book.

So well written

I enjoyed this book. I knew the religious wars were going on, but this brings to home just how brutal they were. The reading was great, the same reader as in the Outlander series.

A good read

I’ve always heard about Tinsdale and Frith and wondered about them. Very good story. And of course Davina Porter is the best. Only problem was at first I kept thinking she was Claire. If you know, you know!

Interesting characters

This is an incredible story showing what brave individuals endured to bring the English Bible to the people.

Amazing historical fiction.

I purchased it because of the narrator (Davina Porter) but found the story to be worth the price as well.

Great Character Development
