Billionaire Hayes Rivers came into my life like a hurricane....

Heir to an oil empire, he was sexy and seductive, controlling and scorching hot. I craved every touch, every filthy promise that fell from his beautiful mouth, knowing he could break me. My past had left me battered and bruised, with scars he was determined to heal.

Loving him was like drowning - he consumed me, body and soul. But Hayes has secrets of his own. And nothing could prepare me for the shocking pieces of our pasts that threaten to rip us apart. When the truth is revealed, will our love be enough to shelter the storm?

Contains mature themes.

Very cinderella, nice story line a little over dramatic, but fitting for the characters. Funny it references Kristen Ashley book(one of my fav writers) This is not as alpha as her books, more on hierarchy based on money/power

Great story

I'll be honest...I'm a horror and crime novel fan. The Legacy was not my typical novel but I am hooked! What a fantastic weaving of two charcters' stories into a highly addictive tale! Thank you, Dylan Allen for showing me what tremendous fun this genre can be. Bravo!

Great story and addictive characters!

This book definitely deserves all the stars. I was yelling at the female lead. Yelling at the male lead. Yelling at the uncle, aunt, hell everyone. This book grabs you and takes you for a ride and that ending. OMG!!!!

Pheweee this was an intense rollercoaster when a sweet plain sailing romance between a privileged titan and a timid lion hits choppy waters, turbulent seas and bleak thunderstorms follow as twists, long buried secrets, bitter enemies and a revelation all conspire to darken their horizons for a while. You don’t know what the next riveting chapter will reveal because the chemistry sizzles, the heat is turned high and the emotional baggage waits to be unpacked between a Billionaire who thought he had it all and an out of work nearly at rock bottom Lawyer, who didn’t think she had much left to give,.. who eventually find out that they were both very wrong.

I loved the tension-filled story about adoration and love being able to turn tides and change a man, his long held inherited family values and his future. I respected and cheered as a confident loving lamb ferociously clung on to her beliefs, her independence, her values, grew in strength and held her lioness’ hard won ground despite an ‘easy option’ being available. I thought the dual POV narration was great and I was one hundred percent invested in the unfolding dramafest that made up this cleverly weaved story. BUT the overuse of “I said, he says, she replied, I asked, she says, he said, she tells me, I said, I reply, I ask, I gush, she retorts, I say etc., etc., etc., did threaten to spoil chapters and was totally unnecessary and completely redundant when you’ve got good narration that lets you know exactly who is speaking. I even shocked my husband when I loudly roared in frustration at a conversation between three people that had more ‘I saids’ than actual verbal content.

Worth a credit? However, and despite this pet peeve of mine, it’s still a very enjoyable and richly entertaining romance with quite a kick, a few swoons, a drool or two. maybe four.. oh who’s counting, good multi-layered character growth, depth, some saccharine sweet sentiments and a HEA ending. And yes, IMO, this packed full of wall-to-wall well-paced drama is definitely creditworthy.

A PASSIONATE ROLLERCOASTER with wall-to-wall drama
