I didn’t want to waste a credit and not listen to it all but it was tough to keep listening the last 2 hours. The main character has no brain of her own she doesn’t do tell things that should be spoken and speaks at other times. The story just dragged and dragged and I see why now because there’s a cliff hanger. I’ll keep with how it ended and not listen to hook number two. It’s also not mentioned this is a paranormal or sci-fi which was strange to learn the last couple of hours.

This book was unnecessarily long and confusing so that it could be made into a duet. No questions were answered, relationship dynamics were intentionally confusing, events just happened with no resolution, characters were abruptly and inexplicably insufferable... This author needs to shake it up and figure out how to do this in a more concise and less confusing way. This formula worked for one series and now it’s her entire gig. That would be cool if she did it well.

It doesn’t help that the male narrator sounds like Stevie from family guy. Get your French accent together please or leave it out bc it wasn’t necessary at all to the plot.
