I love this new series and the world Xavier Neal is building here! In this book, story spice and characters all combine into a serious can’t miss!

A Cee that could have been an A

The book is great, story line great, the one thing that isn’t is the female narrator. Awful and she could have been passable had she not tried and failed to narrate characters in accents she was horrible at. Ppl selling audiobooks need to understand the narrator can make or break any book. The male narrator was excellent. Listen to this book which is written quite well skipping the chapters the female narrator was in, I suggest you all do it. You’ll enjoy it much more

So dang on funny!

This book had me guffawing and cracking up! The analogies and hilarious jibes were next level comedy. The love story was sweet and I loved listening to a black woman dominating not as a lowly puck bunny but a ding dang on GM and owner of a sport with very little brown n black representation. Well done.

Maybe 2.5 Stars?

A big part of my dislike for this book was the audiobook narration, it just wasn't good in my opinion. The story was okay (not great - there was something about the writing that was almost juvenile) and I for sure would have enjoyed it more had I read the book instead of listened.
