This 2-in-1 box set collects both installments in Liv Zander's Pale Court duet: King of Flesh and Bone and Queen of Rot and Pain. This duology is a dark-fantasy romance featuring a ruthless man, a woman who can't escape his love, and a Happily Ever After.

This world contains dark themes, violence, loss, and elements of horror some may find disturbing. What this book doesn't contain is a hero—because villains do it better.

a book with a very nice story, i liked how there relationship evolved, and how he went from ass, to bigger ass to giant ass

how easy he forgot she was mortal

the author says villans do it better, and I believe she believes that. her villans are definitely villans, with love. the violence wasn't shocking, but the fmc's hesitancy for revenge was.

dark romance for sure.

love. I was so invested that this book literally brought me pain and angst, but it was all so worth it.

sadistically seducing

A twist on Death takes a vacation. Good story and yes plenty of graphic female eroticism. Most women will enjoy the female eroticism, though I wouldn’t recommend it for those women under 16 and probably 18. I enjoyed the story. Wish there had been more God of Whispers. The power exchange between the main characters is done very well.

Good story all around

This duel series was amazing. I loved the unique story, and the writing was so decadent and rich I felt pulled in from the very start. Spicy, heart-tugging, gripping, endearing… I was nearly weeping for both involved at various times, even when Enosh was in his villain era. The pain was palpable, and I can relate to it. A++. One of the best stories and performances I’ve dipped into in years.

The performance was gripping, outstanding!
