Sarah Avery had spent years carefully reconstructing her broken life back together, after her husband Thomas, the love of her life, had drowned 14 years earlier. When suddenly she comes face to face with a man named Collin, who is Thomas's exact look-alike, on the streets of Wilmington, North Carolina, she convinces herself that he is, somehow, actually Thomas himself. Yet in response, he has no recognition of her or their life together.

However, the attraction between the two of them is powerful and immediate. But, even as Sarah finds herself falling in love with Collin, she still is haunted by questions about his identity and the secret guilt she carries over Thomas's death. And little does she know that Collin holds some dark secrets of his own, secrets that threaten to destroy everything they have together. Will their love survive, or will these secrets ultimately tear them apart?

This was an excellent plot and characters very believable and realistic. It was at times a heart wrenching tear jerker and other times a happy feel good story. I liked the writing itself and the way the author makes the details so real, one feels like you are there and can feel or smell the situation. Great read. JC

Story that makes you think.

Absolutely awesome. What a crazy read. Just when you think you have it all figured out you realize you don’t. Loved it.

Really 14 years! I thought the author did a disservice to anyone with a brain!

Not quite believable!

The story drew me in right away, but the narration was so annoying that I almost gave up. Every single male character was read in a voice that made them sound like a clueless "surfer dude". It was difficult to imagine how anybody could fall in love with any of them. And often, the dialogue did not sound authentic - the intonation was either stiff, without emotion, or else too drippy, with too much emotion. I never really felt much connection with the characters.
