Scotland, 1272: Connor MacKiernan, a descendant of the Fae Prince, is a warrior who lives only for honor and duty. Though he's vowed never to marry, that's exactly what he must do to save his sister. Enter a little Faerie magic, and the search for a bride is on.

Denver, 2007: Caitlyn Coryell is having a really bad day - she just discovered her fiance with another woman! Imagine her surprise when she puts on some sexy lingerie and an antique pendant and Connor appears in her bedroom, begging for her help. He offers a simple yet outrageous adventure: travel to his time, marry him, and return home.

But nothing's simple when Cate is trapped in the 13th century. The wedding's delayed, someone's trying to kill her, and in the middle of all this, she realizes she's falling in love with a man who can only be her husband for 30 nights.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The author is new to me and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. This is a sweet, fun, romantic story. I liked all the characters. The narrator is not the best at the Scottish brogue and it is very off-putting in the beginning. I found myself getting used to her voice and reading style and it stopped bothering me. I wish Rosalyn Landor could narrator all historical romances.

5 stars with a better narrator

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, I enjoyed the tale.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Thirty Nights with a Highland Husband?

When they rescue Connor and his sister and bring them back. I was worried about how it the author would find a way to give us a happy ending.

How could the performance have been better?

The whispers and high pitch of some voices made it difficult to understand all the conversations. When the narrator lowers the volume for whisper or the frequency of her voice to a high pitch it is not understandable at a volume that is comfortable for normal listening.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Evening the conversational volume.

Any additional comments?

There are three brothers who now work with Connor, Tell me about their adventures. Plus I would like a meeting between Connor and Richard. More stories please, with or without the faery connection.

Not bad, but could be improved.

The story was engaging and very well created. I loved the characters and the world created and it's made my re-read list. The narration was also fabulous and I look forward to more.

Absolutly Enchanting

The story is amazing. It started out slow, but then I couldn't put it down. The history that the author writes about and the fairies bring the story to life. The battles with the clans are written as if you are there in the mist of the danger. Excellent voices.
