This is the third book in the Lords of the Commission–New York series, and it’s a lighter shade of Mafia romance, featuring forced marriage and enemies to lovers tropes, amongst others. There are dark subjects throughout, but it can’t be considered an overly dark story. Content warnings do still apply.

Great!

What a ride! Answers to the cliffhanger, lots of curveballs that I was definitly not ready for! Angelina and Joe of course absolutely dominate their roles and being the story to life. Plenty of spice and an HEA

Emotional!

Emotions all over the place!!!!

Torn by Honor was a really good read! Stephanie Amara pulled me in with the characters right away. They’re messy in the best way, and the drama, tension, and chemistry kept me hooked from start to finish.

I liked the mix of romance and deeper emotional stuff, and the story moved at a nice pace. There were a couple spots where I wanted just a little more detail, but overall it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed it.

Perfect Journey of Revenge and Love

Buckle up, Buttercup, this second book in the Matt and Francesca duet starts with a bang (see what I did there?). We learn who died and who lived at the end of Bound by Deception and we’re off to the races on a journey of revenge. This book really is best enjoyed with NO spoilers, so I’ll just say that I promise it’s all going to be ok. It’s important that you don’t throw your e-reader or your earbuds or you’ll miss the explosive ending and Matt and Francesco’s HEA. Speaking of endings, I cannot wait for Allison’s story. Yes, I know I could eyeball read it now, but I’m an audio girlie and the audio productions of this series have been top notch. Joe Arden and Angelina Rocca return as Matt and Francesca performed in duet. There is such raw emotion, heartbreak, and yearning in both their performances. After 2 books listening to their portrayals of Matt and Francesca, I was so immersed in their story and world that I would have happily kept listening for another 9 hours. Overall, 5 star read with 5 spicy peppers.

Ummm what the f***!

Ok so all together i really enjoyed these books.

I truly have a hate relationship towards Francesca, why just why why why?? You are truly your own worst enemy dude, your emotions are crazy most of the time ... So many times throughout this whole book did i yell at you (sigh)

Matt you are just as dumb as your wife bro! I'm always on the man's side and I kinda am but boy do you not learn from your own mistakes!!

My anticipation for the second book in this duet, Torn by Honor, book three of the Lords of the Commission series by Stephanie Amaral was at a high level. Stephanie you did not disappoint. Picking up right where we left off in the previous book I am well and truly seduced by Francesca and Matteo’s story.

Matt’s focus and fury is to now unleash himself into a vengeful vendetta for causing immeasurable pain to the Battaglia family. An eye for an eye!

As Matt’s ascension to Don is official. He now has to execute difficult decisions in order to protect the future of his family and true love, while others are plotting his demise.

I admire how Francesca’s desire to find and earn her place in a male dominated world brought out her undeniable strength and resilience.This intensity and emotion is brought to the table with Angelina’s portrayal of Francesca. I feel Angelina’s timbre suits the Mafia FMC superbly. Angelina Rocca IS Francesca!

Joe Arden brings a convincing performance as Matteo (Matt), the Don of the New York famiglia. Matt’s urgency to possess Francesca in every way may have began as a means to him ascending to a coveted seat in The Commission! What ensues between these two characters is nothing short of excitingly intriguing. Angelina and Joe perform the push and pull between Francesca and Matt with flawless ease.

Stephanie, I love how you have created this intricately woven mafiosi world and continue to build the intrigue. I will try to wait patiently for the next instalment.
