Ethan "Hutch" Hutchinson hasn't seen his old college pals in nearly 10 years. Now fate has brought them together again as one of the gang is put on trial for a brutal, senseless murder. The Chicago police and prosecutor think they have their perp, but Hutch isn't about to sit silently in a courtroom as someone he cares about is wrongfully convicted.

When Hutch and his friends join forces to search for the real killer, what they find shatters every notion they have about friendship, loss, and redemption...and may very well cost Hutch and the woman he loves their lives.

If you could sum up Trial Junkies in three words, what would they be?

I had never heard of the author and was afraid it would be another dud but I had ran out of books to listen to so I took a chance. It was really good. I hope the rest of his books are offered by Audible.

What did you like best about this story?

Suspense.

Have you listened to any of Eric Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not sure. I seldom look at names of narrators.

Any additional comments?

No

Excellent mystery

Would you try another book from Robert Gregory Browne and/or Eric Dove?

Already have, the Innocent Ones - far superior to this book.

Would you recommend Trial Junkies to your friends? Why or why not?

Probably not. This book felt and sounded dated but it is not that old. Tons of clichés right out of the 1950's. Story line is pretty weak, "the gang" will find the real murderer who was spotted because he looked strange.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Narrator was good but made main character sound like a dumb jock.

Was Trial Junkies worth the listening time?

If you are painting your bedroom, anything is worth listening to.

The Breakfast Club meets an Archie comic book

What would have made Trial Junkies better?

An author with talent, other than the usual so-so
and
A narrator whose voice isn't fingernails on a blackboard

Has Trial Junkies turned you off from other books in this genre?

No.
