Max and the team make a decision to return to Igarra's world and try to figure out what has happened since he has been gone.

Upon their arrival they learn Max's place as the world champion has been taken by another. He must defeat the new champion or suffer death.

They had come in hopes of growing stronger in the tower on a different world. Now once again it seems that there is a game in play and Max and the rest are merely pieces on the board. Can they survive this new threat and return home to their world?

IT ONLY GETS BETTER

The story line is only getting better. the narrator was made for this. just know that these books are well worth the money.

Another excellent installment

The book was great, but I am actually writing this review to inform somebody who can do something about it that the plot synopsis displayed for this title is not referencing this book, but what I assume must be a later installment in the series. This review was made on September 16th, 2025, so the above information will hopefully be irrelevant in the future. Let's see if anybody important actually reads these.

good with some minor complaints

for a sequel it's good, lots of good character and power growth. But, we have to talk about some things.

1. we already have to deal with Cordelia, can we not add any more high pitched voices, especially yelling ones.

2. Max is one of the most powerful people on this planet, is the tower still presenting him a challenge at this time? He outclassed basically everyone and everything.

3. Taking away the skill even temporarily is a a dumb way to nerf Max. this happens so many times in books when an author realizes they've added something that cannot be resolved easily.

Very Enjoyable

I am constantly impressed with the authors ability to make it more than just about tower climbing. This keeps the book(s) from being a grind. Nice that it doesn't constantly review Max's stats.

So much fun and action

This series keeps getting better and funnier. A great storyline with great narration, Great ogre nuts ...keep it going
