A Complete Joy

I work hard for every dime I get and one of the pleasures I have chosen to indulge in is books. This book was a complete joy. Life is busy and stressful. It was a delight to escape in this story.

Mafia romance

I received this Audiobook as an ARC. I deeply appreciate the author sending this audiobook. This is a Mafia Romance book, which is up my alley , because I love mafia romance books. I enjoyed this book a lot. The plot was really good. I felt the connection with the FMC throughout the book. The way she felt, I felt which had my emotions all over the place. Please don’t miss out on this book, it’s totally worth it. Now the narration was good but I did catch two errors but they where small not really noticeable so it’s wasn’t such a big deal. The narrator voice is beautiful and her male voice is spectacular. I was mind blown on how good she did the male voice. I definitely recommend this audiobook though, the story is so delicious.

This is one of those audio books that you will want to hear again and again! Fantastic world building, great narration, and the quality of the story is amazing. Loved it!

A wonderful mafia story!

Okay, to start I was a little wary of this audiobook as I’ve already read the book and loved it loads but I also know that the story is told from two POVs. However, only one narrator is listed and one unknown to me at that. Needless to say this was my first listen from narrator Amy Deuchler. It took some getting used to but I did warm up to her style of narration. Her pacing was a little slow for me but I can speed it up some so that was not a big deal. Otherwise I thought she did well with all the different characters. Her voices were distinct enough for each character and that made it easy to follow the story.

The story:
I love this story! I’ve been a long time fan of Lucy Monroe and I’m so glad she’s writing mafia stories now too. The dialogue between her characters are always fun to read. She’s able to convey so much emotions - love, hate, disappointment, etc. just from these dialogues. Here we have the mafia don, Severu and Catalina, who ended up married to each other due to a turn of events not of their making. However, as it turns out, it’s not an unwanted marriage for either party. Severu is powerful and a very decisive man. He’s brutal and in his own way quite romantic. Catalina has a strong personality and super smart and that makes her a great complement to Severu. The sexy times between these two are HOT AF and their conversations are fun to read. Also, a lot of the side characters, especially Severu’s family are all likable and I’m glad they’re not the typical scheming and hateful family members that are so present in a lot of other stories.

Lucy Monroe does it again!

I love a good Mafia book, and this did not disappoint. Catalina is a smart, strong but introvert woman who flourished when she married Severu, and he is the possessive, arrogant Don that complements her. Their chemistry is instantaneous and very hot. Such a great Audiobook, narrator did amazing as she totally pulled you in the story.
