loved everything about this book! such love and turmoil and turnabout! I love the stories set in this time period

A storyline that is ahead of its Victorian Era!!!

As far as victorian time era storylines go, this one was very intriguing and captivating. Emily is a very self driven, independent and a go getter. Her main goal is to become a veterinarian. She reminded me of Elizabeth Bennett, from Pride and Prejudice. Females who didn't follow or care about society standards, rules or etiquette. The narration was very good and the narrator gave lots of emotion to each and every character. There is also another sub-story, besides the main, which is as captivating as well.

This is another novel that holds your attention throughout and you hope it never ends.

Like an old friend telling me a beautiful story

I have read this book once a year since it first came out all those years ago, I am so happy to now have it to listen to - the narration is beautifully done and the story is so fun and heartwarming

The only thing I didn’t like

Was the gd’s at the end. Why do people think gd’s are necessary? It’s anti-Christian, which is going to make you lose some readers. (if you repeatedly use that word)
