This book flew by

As with his previous book, the combat is excellent -- grounded in real understanding of movement, but using magic.

Something most writers screw up on is the sense that the writer has a plan for the characters, but the author leaves us with clues on what the bigger direction will be, while at the same time leaving a lot left to be discovered.

The way the author paced the power growth of the character is slow enough that he's not becoming too powerful at once.

Fantastic Sequel

A great sequel! Jim is the most badass 12 (Not quite..?) year old I've ever seen. I am curious how time will play out in this series as Jim has some 200 of these demons to fight and he's killed maybe...6 at this point.. Now I anxiously await the next book....

Great narration and story

I really enjoyed this second book. I can see the author coming into his own voice and Travis Baldree brings a phenomenal performance that enhances the work as always.

everything from mountain dale press seems to astound me. I dont understand how a publisher can find so many fantastic authors without finding duds too. give any books from mountain Dale a chance, you won't regret it.
