One by one, her options dwindle as she struggles against her strengthening feelings for a duplicitous man, a determination not to hurt her friend, and keeping the promise she made long ago: To stand up to the people who killed her father.

Clean and refreshing

This was a sweet regency romance, and I thought the narrator did a great job.

Surprisingly Good!

At first, I struggled with the narration, but then I got used to it. Although very articulate, the narrator speaks very fast and sounds rather business-like, which is fine for many books, but less enjoyable in a romance novel.

However, the story is outstanding! As one of the very few men who enjoy romance novels, I could not stop listening and finished it in less than two days. This book has all the elements of a great romance novel: suspense, mystery, action, and romantic suspense (all the way up until the end, which is not very common). I found the author's word usage and literary style to be excellent. I look forward to listening to more from this author. Well done!
