The story of the Klin comes full circle. After failing to conquer the Expansion—again—the aliens set their sights once again on Earth and the human race. This time, they're bringing their deadly subcutaneous microchips to get the race to do their bidding. But when things go horribly wrong, the Klin have to look at alternatives. When Adam Cain and Copernicus Smith inadvertently discover the Klin's sinister plot on Earth, they're shocked to find that the truth is hard to believe. And now our reluctant heroes must find the Klin surrogates and prevent the takeover.

When Adam Cain's old bounty-hunting friends, Summer, Monty, and Tidus, show up searching for the most-wanted fugitive in the galaxy, their efforts are thwarted by another old friend, Copernicus Smith. The deep-cover spy has his own reason for finding the fugitive, and it's not to earn the million-credit bounty offered for his capture. The elusive alien absconded with billions of credits from his homeworld just before the Mad Aris Kracion irradiated the planet. And now it seems as though the entire galaxy is looking for him.

Every crisis has its beginning. For Adam Cain, his greatest challenge began in The Lost Universe and continued through The Immortal War. Now his nemesis, Kracion, is the Destroyer of Worlds, blazing a trail of death and destruction across the galaxy on his way to total domination. Opposing him are the mutants Panur and Lila, who use Adam and his team as blocking pieces in their desperate game against the Mad Aris. That may be an effective strategy, but it can prove deadly for Adam and his friends.

Eleven years ago, Army Ranger Jason King lost his job when the aliens came to Earth and outlawed war among nations. Now he makes a fairly decent living as the top real estate broker on the planet Sylox, the capital of the Galactic Union. His clients are primarily Humans coming to the planet to work at the huge Embassy Complex, and they find Earth-like housing—along with a little taste of home—in the sprawling Enclaves of Sylox.

Adam Cain—the alien with an attitude—is super-Human, everyone's hero, the go-to guy when the galaxy needs saving. Adam and his team are on a desperate rescue mission in another universe, yet one that promises wealth beyond their imagination. At least that's what they've been told. It seems straightforward enough—and the money is good! And now dangerous forces are aligned against them, as everyone wants to get into the act. However, everything is not as it seems. Maybe Adam should have asked a few more questions before taking on the assignment . . .

Everything is going great in the Milky Way Galaxy. Adam's immortal mutant alien daughter Lila is running the Expansion, and the Orion-Cygnus Union is experiencing its first period of peace and tranquility since its founding. Yet things are not as idyllic as they seem. A new alien threat has entered the galaxy, bringing with it a level of pragmatic barbarism unmatched by anyone in the Milky Way. Add to this, an ancient home-grown power has returned, curious to see the results of its three-billion-year-long galactic experiment.

With the question lingering what happened to the evil Mad Aris Kracion, Adam and his team are preparing to follow the clues to an answer. But first, Adam takes a quick detour to help a stranded Summer, Monty, and Tidus get off the planet Sasin, the most dangerous place in the galaxy. It's a no big deal mission which quickly devolves into the beginning of the greatest challenge for Adam and his team. Both Adam and Summer are going through strange and not so subtle changes; Adam from the mind meld he did with the super mutant Panur, and Summer from her contact with the Essence of J'nae.

Adam Cain is getting too old for this shit. Sure, he only looks to be around thirty, but this is his second lifetime, and he's getting a little tired of always having to kick alien ass. Besides that, he's got piles of energy credits, so he doesn't have to keep risking his life for the money. But then again, he is The Human for Hire, the best of the best, and everyone knows it.

The alien with an attitude is back! But this time it's the new and improved Adam Cain, the cloned version in his revitalized twenty-two year old body. Even so, will it be enough to defeat the Klin, who have already conquered three-quarters of the galaxy and are only months away from destroying Earth? With the help of the mutants, Panur and Lila, Adam and his team are the last hope for the galaxy. Can the genius of the mutants and the "attitude" of Adam Cain save the day? Now they launch a multi-prong attack to stop the Klin, with only minutes to spare before Armageddon.

The gang is back, and this time pitted against the most-dangerous enemy the galaxy has ever faced. Among the challenges our heroic trio encounters are a 5,000-year-old mutant genius and a one-trillion-strong race of ravenous trans-dimensional invaders. Once again Adam, Riyad, and Sherri find themselves neck-deep in an epic struggle to save the Milky Way from an evil that doesn't play favorites. And uniting against the invaders are the Humans, the Juireans, and even the Klin...to show just how serious the threat has become.

When Adam and Riyad journey to the planet Visidor to help free their alien friends Kaylor and Jym from vindictive local law enforcement, they thought all it would take would be wowing the locals with their celebrity. Now begins a wild adventure involving the most powerful galactic corporations to ever exist—stronger than any so-called empire—along with hordes of angry drug-runners and more, all in a desperate race to discover a secret that will alter the balance of power throughout the Milky Way galaxy—forever.

The ancient Aris service module Kanan is on a mad quest for galactic domination and only Adam Cain and his friends (both new and old) can stop him. However, with the return of the immortal mutant geniuses Panur and Lila, Kanan may have met his match. The tension, the excitement, the stakes...all rise in Dark Energy, as this latest threat to the galaxy comes to a head.

As the story of the REVs continue, the forces at work - either to destroy these enhanced super-warriors or to promote them - come together in a fight for the destiny of human evolution. And while the powers-that-be are tearing themselves apart with this internal struggle, mankind also faces the continuing threat of the alien Antaere...plus something new from outside the Grid. Just when the Humans thought they had the war won, this new threat appears on the scene and messes up everything.

It started out as a simple weapons delivery to a planetary warlord. But when Adam Cain—AKA The Human—is asked to transport an innocuous-looking package back to the warlord's capital, things take a turn for the worse. Yeah, you know what happens: Adam looks in the package! Now meet Siri, a sexy, feline-like mutant whose special powers have made her the target of the two most powerful warlords on the planet Ellios.

Having returned from the Andromeda Galaxy as heroes, the team soon learns that the remaining Nuoreans in the Milky Way aren't too thrilled with the fact that the Humans destroyed their homeworld of Nuor. Now they're going to make Adam and his friends pay for it. After placing an exorbitant bounty on the heads of each team member, nearly every creature in the galaxy becomes a hired killer. Although Adam's never been one to run from a fight, this may be too much for even him.

While Adam Cain and his team are on a desperate mission to stop the creature Te'moc from a deadly encounter with Summer Rains and her evil phantom presence, J'nae, we learn more about how everything that has transpired over the past three billion years has been leading to this moment.
