As the crew of Space Ten leaves the Solar System for their new home in the Murphrid System, the last of the One-Gen terrorists commandeer their own LINAC and head for Proxima Centauri. While Nick and the crew grow in their faith, they become worried that the One-Gen terrorists will not allow them to colonize a new planet in peace. And worse yet, that the terrorists may turn their sights on Arcturus.

While confronting the Arcturians, Nick witnesses the Sun disappear from the dark Arcturian sky exactly when Tolen says it will. Numb from the prophesy he alone has just received, Nick leads the rest of the landing party back to Space Ten. Even though he was told Earth was gone, Nick tells his staff he wants to return to find survivors to add to the meager remnants of the Human race; the crew of Space Ten.
