A wonderfully helpful book. Christians need divine comfort, and Arthur W. Pink reminds us of the incredibly glorious comfort that belongs to every Christian. From our never being condemned for our sins, through all the various afflictions, chastisements, sufferings, and trials of life, all the way to the death of each saint, the comfort God provides his own can be richly exercised in the hearts and lives of every Christian.

This classic by Horatius Bonar is essential to any true minister of the gospel or serious Christian teacher. It greatly helps clarify the central purpose of the gospel minister in calling men to Christ. It also aids in identifying the numerous problems that can creep into the life of a minister through carelessness and indifference. As Bonar explores many of the problems of his day, we find that we still struggle with the same problems in our day.
