In a story of serendipity and personal growth, two individuals' lives will intersect in the most unexpected way.

Joey Beckham exudes creativity and independence. She's about to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, fulfilling her late father's dream of visiting the Greek island of Crete. But Joey's world is flipped upside down when she discovers a heart-wrenching betrayal.

Cam Connelly is accustomed to taking care of others, but he desperately yearns to break away from his family's expectations and nurture desires of his own. Will he choose the life they set out for him or the path that fuels the spark in his soul?

Fate weaves its intricate web when Joey and Cam find themselves stranded on a picturesque Greek island. They must join forces to navigate their way home. There's just one problem: The bed-and-breakfast has only one vacant room. With one bed. But it's fine. They'll never see each other again, right?

Packed with laugh-out-loud humor, witty banter, and a whole lot of spice, For the Plot proves second chances are possible and that a person can pursue their dreams while sharing them with the people they love most. For the Plot is the first book in the All for Love interconnected standalone series but can be listened to on its own.

I am blown away that this is Katie's debut novel!!

This book was exactly what I needed to pull me out of what I thought was a never-ending book slump! It was flirty and fun, but somehow still managed to punch me in the heart when I least expected it. These two characters couldn’t have been more lovable, and I loved the chemistry between them! Unfortunately, they both had a lot of relationship trauma to work through before leaning into the relationship.

It felt like the harder she pushed him away, the more the universe tugged them back together, placing them in situations that made it very hard to ignore the growing attraction they had for one another. But once they gave in… MY GOSH, this book was HOT. Especially THE BONUS SCENE!!! I love a man who isn't intimidated by a woman and let's her SHINE! And Cam did exactly that for Joey in so many ways. He was such a beautiful caretaker with the sweetest heart! I loved the way their relationship evolved. It was the sweetest!

For the Plot gave me laughs, swoons, heat, and heart. Katie Van just skyrocketed to my auto-buy list. I can’t wait to read For The Show!!! The relationship we get to see growing between Ezra and Millie was so perfect. It has me wanting to pick it up NOW!!

Duet Narration
Narrated by JF Harding and Alexis Page
My gosh, these two sound so good in duet! The banter was an absolute delight brought to life flawlessly by these two. JF Harding did such an incredible job as Cam, the broody, obsessed MMC. He captured every emotional beat so well, from Cam’s quiet intensity to the absolute sweetness of his obsession with Joey. His deep, gravelly voice was perfect, especially paired with the way Alexis Paige brought Joey’s sassy, confident energy to life.

Alexis as Joey couldn't have been better cast. She nailed every emotion Joey dealt from her vulnerability, to fire and her wit. I laughed, I swooned, and I felt every moment between them.

These two nailed this audiobook. Their chemistry, delivery, and tone made it feel like I was right there with the characters. I already know this is going to be a comfort listen I’ll come back to again and again!

Fun and flirty

A Crete-cute (meet-cute in Crete) between Joey and Cam after they get left by their cruise ship turns into a spicy one night stand. A year later, fate has them reuniting in Crete once again.

This was really adorable. Cam was such a sweet guy (outside the bedroom), always taking care of everyone and supporting Joey and being an overall nice guy. Joey was independent and a little bit angry deep down, but she was also mushy for a guy willing to take care of her. The way they communicated with each other and understood each other was so heartwarming.

Also, the spice was spicing! Whew! I was not prepared for sweet Cam to be a dom, but it worked for him. Joey had her time to take control too, and their intimacy made them stronger and more trusting of each other.

Bless Katie for not having a third-act breakup. I was preparing for one with the conflict coming toward the end, but they actually talked like adults and it was a non-issue over in 2 minutes, hallelujah!

Alexis Paige and JF Harding were both great on the duet audio narration. They portrayed the emotions of Joey and Cam really well. The production sounded like a flawless back and forth conversation throughout the book.

I’m excited for Ezra and Millie’s story next!

Thank you to Sparks Fly Studios and the author, Katie Van Brunt, for the audiobook ARC. This is my honest review!

This audiobook had me hooked from the beginning and kept me absolutely captivated throughout! Katie Van Brunt was a new author to me, but I am definitely a fan now. This story had everything: romance, angst, serendipity, betrayal, hope, love, new beginnings, and ALL the spice! Cam and Joey’s road to love was certainly a bumpy one, but the scenery along the way was well worth the trip. All of the characters in this story—both main and side characters—were layered, compelling, and real. You can’t help but to be completely drawn into the story and their lives.

The fantastic duet narration for this audiobook is provided by Alexis Paige and JF Harding. They were the perfect choice for these characters, in my opinion. Their voices and performance styles worked so well together. Alexis Paige expertly delivered all of the pain, fear, hope, strength, and cautious optimism that embodied the character of Joey. And JF Harding was just perfection as Cam. He is one of my very favorite narrators, and this performance just proves why that is. His impassioned portrayal of Cam left me hanging on every word, feeling, and emotion of this character. Overall, this is definitely a love story and a listen not to be missed!

For the Plot is book #1 in the new All for Love series. This is a new author for me and she is going on my "one-click" list. This story was funny, heartwarming, heartbreaking, spicy, just all the emotions rolled into a beautifully written package. Joey and Cam have a "Crete-cute" while on vacation with their significant others (who they had both broken up with). She's from Cali, he's from NYC and they don't expect to see each other again. WRONG! Back to Greece we go, and they are reunited by accident. These two are main characters that you just have to root for. Loved, loved, loved this one. Can't wait for book #2 to come out in audio. Ezra and Millie's story is going to be 🔥!

The duet narration was fantastic! J.F. Harding and Alexis Paige were so dang good together. The emotion and passion they voiced for their characters was electric. 5/5 stars!!

Josefine and Cameron stole my heart!

The best way I can describe this story is to say - "if he wants to, he will."

Very sweet, lots of pining, and a little drawn out but still a good read. I consumed via audio and really enjoyed the narrators. They were easy to listen to and get engrossed in the characters.

Now the spice....that cover does not lead you to think it will be too much, but that spice be spicing! Lots of chili peppers for this one!

Spice is all nice
